What Our Clients Say

spring water damage restoration review

Anna Johnson / Humble, TX

“They did a super job, even as the job got bigger and bigger due to the extent of the mold / water damage. They informed us of the process up front, and kept us posted on the progress, always letting us know what was coming next, and responding kindly and clearly to our questions.”

"The company was out within hours of the leak and evaluated the situation and found there was no water damage and not a need to dry the area — which saved me money."

houston water damage restoration review

Melissa Armstrong

"James was a life saver! He took his time going over everything with me in detail, he taped it off, he took pictures, he went over the insurance claim part with me, got our adjusters information, he called another one of his teammates that is coming out to get the water and all that good stuff out to make sure he knew exactly what was going on and what needed to be done so that way I didn’t have to worry about explaining or any questions being asked to me."

The first settlers began moving into the Humble area in the early 19th century and became an oil boomtown in the early 1900 when oil was first produced there. By 1905 the Humble oilfield was the biggest producing field in Texas. When the oil boom receded, many land owners returned to truck farming, dairy farming and the timber industry. Wikipedia

Frequently Asked Questions

Absolutely.   Depending on the source of the water, for instance whether it was from a sewage backup (dirty water) or busted pipe (clean water) will determine the correct course on how much building material will need to be removed before the drying process starts.

Significant water damage can happen with less water than you think depending on where the water is coming from.  For instance, if the water is coming from a busted water heater or a/c condensation line it could cause your ceiling to collapse, run down an adjacent wall or seep into carpet and wood flooring.  Extensive flooding, with water levels exceeding 2 inches, can result in severe structural damage. It poses electrical hazards, and the risk of extensive mold infestation is very high.

The cost of water damage cleanup depends on the size of the flooded area and amount of time needed to handle the water repair. If your insurance policy covers water damage restoration, you are only responsible for the deductible. Not a penny more, not a penny less.  Because water can move so quickly and be extremely destructive, if not promptly removed with the right equipment, there can be even bigger problems like mold growth and even structural damage. When done properly, fixing water damage can take several days and many man-hours to complete, which have varying costs.  The range can be anywhere from $750 and up depending on number of rooms effected.

The Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) provides a specific set of standards for fixing water damage. According to the IICRC S500, water damage repair should only be done by experienced and trained technicians that will promptly and professionally fix water damage from a house flood according to IICRC standards.

Some signs of hidden water damage include peeling paint and wallpaper, visible mold, moisture and condensation, musty odors, and moisture or dampness in your carpet or other flooring

Water can begin to damage drywall within an hour to a full day. In the first 24 hours, drywall exposed to standing water can absorb water at a rate of one inch per hour.  The good news is that if you act quickly enough and dry the effected drywall quickly enough you can save the drywall.  If the drywall has been wet for more than 48 hours, mold may have already begun to grow. Unfortunately, if that is the case, while you will be able to dry things out, the drying process does not kill the mold spores.

Depends on what type of water it is and how quickly you start the remediation process.  If the water is contaminated such as sewage water or flood water, then yes you would want to remove that.  Click here to learn about the categories types of water.  If it is clean water coming from a busted pipe and you start drying it within several hours you don’t have to remove it.
