How the Water Damage Restoration Process Works
According to the EPA...
According to the EPA, mold damage can happen in 1-2 days if the source of the water problem is not fixed and improperly dried.
That’s easy enough, right? Unfortunately, all water damage can’t be seen with the naked eye, especially in drywall and floors. To properly determine water damage, you need a moisture meter.

What Our Clients Say

Anna Johnson / Spring, TX
“They did a super job, even as the job got bigger and bigger due to the extent of the water / mold damage. They informed us of the process up front, and kept us posted on the progress, always letting us know what was coming next, and responding kindly and clearly to our questions.”

Eric Black / Conroe, TX
"The company was out within hours of the leak and evaluated the situation and found there was no water damage and not a need to dry the area — which saved me money."

Melissa Armstrong
"James was a life saver! He took his time going over everything with me in detail, he taped it off, he took pictures, he went over the insurance claim part with me, got our adjusters information, he called another one of his teammates that is coming out to get the water and all that good stuff out to make sure he knew exactly what was going on and what needed to be done so that way I didn’t have to worry about explaining or any questions being asked to me."

David Ohnheiser
"We had some water damage from an overflowing sink upstairs. Aaron did an excellent job evaluating our damage. He was very honest and knowledgeable. He gave us solutions and options. I definitely would recommend this company"
Your Water Restoration / Mold Remediation Journey
The Beginning of Our Journey
This is hardest part since nobody wants to deal with water damage, mold damage, fire damage or flood damage. Give yourself a pat on the back for starting the restoration process.
It’s time to call a water restoration company out to give you an evaluation. Don’t worry, Woodlands Water Restoration always has free evaluations. The first step is to call to set one up.
Every Journey Needs a Map
This part of the journey is all about evaluating how serious the problem is and coming up with a plan of action. We bring moisture meters to check for water damage if it is a water issue. For mold remediation, we can advise you of your options regarding mold removal and testing. In this step, we can also review your insurance policy to tell you about what type of coverage you have and can help you file a claim if need be.
The Road to Recovery
In this phase of the journey we begin the clean up of the water damage, demolition of damaged building material, or mold removal from your house. After all of the damaged building material has been removed, the next step for water restoration is using fans and dehumidifiers to dry your home so that there is no mold growth from wet areas. For mold remediation, there is an initial containment area that is set up and the use of HEPA air purifiers followed by cleaning and encapsulating the wood studs to prevent any further mold growth.
The Final Step in the Journey
Now that everything is dried or remediated of mold, the final step is rebuilding your home to pre-loss condition. In this step, we go over your choice of flooring, paint, cabinets, etc…, anything that had been removed that needs to be replaced. You will be assigned a project coordinator that will be there every step of the way to assure that everything is performed to your satisfaction.
